Spinal Distortions and Other Tension Patterns

Who Are You?

Have you ever noticed the many postures people hold? Have you noticed how we change our posture given the moment, yet our characteristic posturing seems to convey a unique signature? That signature affects not only how others perceive us, but also how we perceive the world.

Your Spine

Your spinal cord is your interface with the world. As our musculature reconfigures our spine, we are creating varying degrees of tension and pressure along the spinal cord that in turn filters the flow of information. We naturally move into defensive posturing when our system perceives a threat. When we are unconscious around the threat or it is a sustained event, the body may set into a pattern of protective posturing. Symptoms of discomfort are a call for re-evaluation.

Your Mind-Body

Reflexology is one pathway for discovering patterns of tension and congestion that may no longer be serving you. A reflexology session helps to integrate your mind and body...bridging the unconscious and conscious aspects. As unconscious patterns become conscious, they can unfold and make way for something different. This holistic approach helps you to respect your symptoms as an insightful pathway to healing.
