MAINSTREAM WELLNESS CARE

Some practices that used to be perceived as unusual--such as chiropractic care, massage and yoga--are now rather mainstream. Likely, if you need one of those services you have a friend who can make a good personal recommendation. But reflexology has not yet reached mass acceptance, and it may not be that easy to find your way to the reflexologist who is a fit for you.

WASHINGTON REFLEXOLOGY ASSOCIATION

One place to begin your search is the WRA, Washington Reflelxology Association. The WRA provides an online listing of certified reflexologists who are located across the state. The WRA listing includes contact and web site information (if available) for each provider. That information is enough to get you started.

FINDING YOUR REFLEXOLOGIST

Beyond location, office hours and pricing, you might also consider the following when choosing a reflexologist:

What do you want to get from reflexology?

How does the practitioner begin working with a new client?

How would the provider summarize the typical benefits of a reflexology session?

What discerns the particular provider's care from that of other reflexologists?

These questions will help you to get a feel for some of the more unique aspects of client/provider compatibility. With this, you're on your way to powerfully entering the next frontier in wellness care!
